Ev charger type

Level 1 chargers are the most basic and simple types of EV charger. They are usually small, lightweight, and of course easy to carry, naturally making them very convenient for home use or for taking with you on holiday. A Level 1 charger you can plug into any standard wall outlet, so you don’t need specialized equipment or a specialized installation at home. As a result, Level 1 chargers from Ruivanda are quite user-friendly. One downside, though, is that they charge your electric vehicle very slowly. What this means is if your vehicle’s battery is close to empty it could take some time to charge it completely with a Level 1 charger. So while they are simple to use, they may not be a good choice if you need a charge fast.

Level 2 chargers are a step up from their Level 1 counterparts, providing some nice benefits. They are commonly located at residences, as well as at public charging locations. Level 2 chargers require a special 240-volt electrical connection, in contrast to Level 1 chargers. They do require installation by an electrician, though, and on the bright side, they can charge your EV far more quickly. This is quite useful to your daily life, if you drive a lot, or have a busy schedule. Level 2 chargers exert more power to charge larger batteries quickly and efficiently. Hence, they are highly favored by many EV owners.

Which EV Charger Type is Right for You?

The fastest type of EV charger available is known as a DC Fast Charger. Theseev charger install are primarily found at public charging stations and are made for people who need to recharge their vehicles faster. Charge your Electric Vehicle to 80% in approximately 30 minutes with a DC Fast Charger! This is ideal for long road trips, or if you want to quickly charge your battery while you’re out. It’s worth mentioning, though, that DC Fast Chargers are also the most costly type of charger. Due to their also high cost, they may not be the best option for everyday use if you are budget conscious.

What type of EV charger is best for you will depend on how you use your EV. If most of your driving is short, like for errands or school, and you have easy access to a standard wall outlet, a Level 1 charger may suffice. That's the best solutions for light usage; it's cheap, and simple. But if you frequently take longer drives or have a larger battery that requires more frequent charging, you should consider a Level 2 charging wallbox. This can save you time and make driving even more convenient.
